Obituary for Barbara Alice Overboe
Barbara Quinn Overboe, of Clements, passed away on April 11, 2017, at the age of 75. Barbara was born on September 20, 1941 in San Francisco, to Stanley and Alice Quinn. Barbara was born and raised in the bay area, attending high school at Notre Dame in Belmont. Barbara received her bachelor’s degree from U.C. Davis. She worked as school counselor for Galt High School for 37 years. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid Giants and 49er’s fan. She also enjoyed raising Pembroke rose corgis. She was an active member of St. Joachim’s Catholic Church where she was involved with the Daughters of Isabella.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 53 years, Neal Overboe, of Clements; sister, Paula Monroe, of Stockton, and sister, Carolyn Foster, of Redwood City.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, April 19, from 10am-5pm at Lodi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 20, at 10am at St. Joachim’s Church, in Lockeford. Committal will follow at Glen View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Joachim building fund.
