Obituary for Clemente Avitia Jr.
Clemente Valdez Avitia, Jr., of Acampo, passed away at home, on June 1, 2017, at the age of 69. He was born on October 9, 1947, to Clemente and Teresa Avitia. He worked as a farm superintendent for USDA for 30 years. He enjoyed working on antique cars, riding his tractor, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rita Encinas; son, Clemente Avitia III; daughters, Tina Avitia and Jesika Kosco; step-daughters, Valena Encinas and Trina Encinas; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Juanita Hickmann, Antonia Lopez, Petra Massey, Maria Luisa Romero, Carmen Avitia, and Teresa Avitia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gregorio Castillo and Brigido Lopez.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, June 5, from 10am-5pm at Lodi Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on, Tuesday, June 6, at 10 am at Lodi Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin
