Obituary for Wilda Darlene Schnaidt (Shaw)
Wilda D. Schnaidt passed away peacefully August 7, 2017, at her home in Elk Grove, at the age of 96. Wilda was born March 5, 1921, in Agra, Kansas. She leaves behind her granddaughter, Laurie (Jim) Griswold; her great-grandchildren, Amber Figueroa, and Robert, Deanna and Daniel Finn; her great-great grandchildren, Erica and Destiny; and her great-great-great grandchild, Ava Rose. She also leaves behind her sister and best friend, of McKinnleyville, CA, Rita (Ray) Miller; her sister-in-law, Celoa Shaw of Citrus Heights; her stepdaughter, Nina (Keith) Daum; and her step-children, Susan (Dick) Fuller, Mack (Deb) Cunningham, Kathy (Tim) Rosenval, Dan Cuningham, and Dale Ann (Dan) Caldwell; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sheldon and Ethal Shaw; her brothers, Wayne and Bill Shaw; her sons, Don and Dean (Brenda) Frizzell; and her husbands, Gideon Schnaidt and Mack Cunningham. Wilda enjoyed cooking, canning, traveling, and buying and selling real estate. She felt her calling in life was to help others and lead them to salvation. She was also very active for many years with the Sacramento Association for the Mentally Disabled (SAR). The family would like to thank her hospice nurse, Stephanie, and her home health aid, Sue, aka “Johnny Cash”. She looked forward to their visits each week. Funeral services for Wilda will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Lodi Funeral Home with a visitation from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and a service to begin at 11:00 a.m. A private interment will be held at a later day. Donations may be made to Mercy Hospice of Sacramento.
