Obituary of Vanessa Ann Calderon

Vanessa Ann Calderon, 29 of Galt passed away surrounded by loved ones on February 27, 2021 after a fierce and courageous battle with lung cancer. Vanessa was born on August 1st, 1991 in Lodi, CA. Vanessa was an avid soccer player from 4 years of age, she played on multiple competitive teams and into highschool. Vanessa started coaching in highschool and continued coaching many years after that. Vanessa graduated from Galt High School in 2009. From highschool she attended and graduated from a medical assisting program, and worked in that field until she decided to further her education in UltraSound Technology. Vanessa had successfully completed the program with the exception of her externship, due to her being diagnosed with lung cancer. In highschool Vanessa met the love of her life, Reymund. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Michaela and Zoe. These girls were Vanessa’s greatest accomplishments and she lived, breathed and fought for them everyday. Also by her side was her 4 legged side kick, Elmo. Vanessa loved spending time with her family and traveling to her most favorite destinations, Disneyland, Hawaii, Pismo Beach, camping at Bear River, her trip to Yellowstone, trip to Mexico, and Oregon. Making memories with her family was one of the most important things to her! Vanessa was an amazing Wife, Mother, Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece and Cousin. She was the rock in our family and would do anything to make people smile! She will be missed dearly by her parents, Jeff and Lisa Fox, Merced and Carmen Calderon, Grandma Joan, Sister, Amy Jewett (Maurice), Step Sisters Amanda Miranda (Carlos), Katie Ruiz, Brenda Chua and many family members and friends. A viewing will be held at Lodi Funeral Home Friday March 12th from 12-4. Services will be private but please join us to celebrate the life of Vanessa Saturday March 13th, 2:00 at E2 Family Winery 9009 Hwy 12. Lodi. There will be a graveside service March 20th 12:00 at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
