Obituary of Ana Paravati

Ana “Nina” Cozzella de Paravati passed away on May 24, 2021 at the age of 86. Ana was born in Olivadi, Italy on January 8, 1935 to Michele Cozzella and Felicia Delapa Cozzella. Ana moved to La Plata, Argentina in 1954 to marry Antonio Paravati, a long-time childhood friend. They were blessed with three children Jose, Miguel, and Marisa. In 1973 the family moved to California to give the children more opportunities and to be closer to Ana’s younger sister, Rosa Iencarelli. In 1974, the family was blessed with a fourth child, Nancy. Cooking for her family was one of Ana’s greatest joys. She took great pride in feeding her family and friends. Her spaghetti sauce is the BEST! Ana always looked forward to having her dinner table filled with family and friends, especially on Sundays. Her recipes will be enjoyed by her children and grandchildren for years to come. Nina, as she was affectionately called by her husband Tony of 56 years, assisted in starting and growing her husband’s construction company. She also encouraged her children to be well educated and strive to be the best at all that they do. Ana enjoyed watching game shows daily; Wheel of Fortune and the Price is Right were her favorites. Once their youngest child was in school, Ana attended Canada college in Redwood City and loved learning the English language and other subjects. She also was a great attribute in helping raise her grandchildren. Ana is preceded in death by her parents, husband Antonio and sister Rosa. Ana is survived by her children Jose (Mary), Miguel (Marta), Marisa (Ken) and Nancy, her grandchildren Daniel, Michael (Bridgette), Andrew, Jessica, Ashley (Zach), Briana (Dave), and Vanessa. Great-grandchildren, Landon, Harper, Isabella, Giuliana and Xander, will miss her very much. Though far, she is also survived by her sisters, Marianna Venuto of Argentina and Immaculata Paparazzo of Italy. In addition, several nieces and nephews. Her infectious SMILE and LOVING nature will be greatly missed!
