Obituary of Elaine LaVon Hieb

Elaine LaVon (Rea) Hieb, age 94 of Jackson, CA, passed away Monday July 26, 2021. She was born March 12, 1927 in McCook, Nebraska. She worked for many years with children at Kandi Korner Day Care in Stockton, CA. She was active in various church functions for many years. She had a wonderful love for God, family, and friends. Elaine had a fun, witty, beautiful spirit. She was “tiny and mighty!” She spent many years traveling, camping, and enjoying life with close friends and family. Preceded in death by her parents Orvil and Ruth Rea, sister Letha Ogilvie, and spouse Leland Hieb. Survived by brother Rollan Rea (Gloria) of Washington, children Harley McCombe (Christine), Linda Jaramillo (Jack), and Leland Hieb (Debbie). Elaine had 12 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She will truly be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Amador County is greatly appreciated. Family will have a private ceremony.
