On Monday, October 25, 2021, Elizabeth E. Pasinsky (89) passed away in Lodi, CA after a valiant battle against Alzheimer’s Disease. Elizabeth (Liz) was born in Baja, Hungary, in May of 1932. She was the second of four children. In November of 1949, she married the love of her life, Steve I Pasinsky and they remained lovingly devoted for nearly 64 years. They escaped Hungary during the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 with two children, Suzanna Pasinsky (1951 -2014) and Steve Z Pasinsky (1955 – 2001). After staying in a refugee shelter in Yugoslavia. they made their way to Stockton (1957) where their third child Les Pasinsky (1958 - ), was born. As a homemaker and seamstress in Hungary, she was able to apply her craftsmanship in a custom dress shop in Stockton, later becoming a Merchandising Manager for JC Penny’s, retiring after 27 years. Perhaps she is best known as a Princess House Hostess, where for almost 20 years, she hosted the best food and fun-packed parties. She volunteered with St. Joseph’s Hospital for ten years in the maternity ward, sharing her unbridled love. Liz was a woman of strong faith, carrying her through two successful battles with cancer. She was a faithful member of St. Joaquim’s Church in Lockeford, CA. Liz loved to cook and entertain, always looking for a reason to have a party where she was eager to share her vibrant Hungarian culture, food and, [homemade] wine with the immeasurable number of family and friends. She always thought there was room for more. She possessed a rare quality of making everyone feel like family. Her true passion was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and, great grandmother. Always there to share her endless love, interest and, support in each and everyone’s life. She never missed an opportunity to uplift with her sparkling eyes and smile, laughter, and of course, her cooking. Liz is survived by her son, Les, grandchildren, Sean, Cheri, Cindi, Christine, Katarina, Jennika, Elliott, Steven, great-grandchildren, Aiden, Mason, and family and friends too numerous to list but not forgotten. A private family interment service will be in December. If desired, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association.
