Elsie Weisser — loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother — peacefully passed away at the age of 94 with her family by her side on October 28,2021 at Hospice House in Stockton. Elsie was born on May 21, 1927 to Ben and Tillie Leicht in Eureka, South Dakota. She moved to Lodi in 1943. She graduated from Lodi High and attended Junior College. Elsie married Elmer Weisser on June 28, 1948 enjoying 45 years of marriage prior to his death in 1993. She worked as a bank teller and at Pacific Coast Producers. Elsie was active in the community until the age of 93, volunteering at Lodi House Thrift Store and Lodi Community Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lodi for the past 78 years, joining the church at the age of 16. she enjoyed working on the Helping Hands Committee and being a greeter on Sunday mornings. Elsie is survived by son, Daryl (Betty) Weisser; 2 grandchildren, Matt (Veronica) Weisser and Kelly (Michael) Keleher; and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Tillie Leicht; husband, Elmer; son, Larry; and sister, Esther. Funeral arrangements are being provided by Lodi Funeral Home with visitation on November 8 from 1 to 5 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held as Elsie requested.
