Obituary of Margo Rivera
Margo Rivera, 70, of Lodi, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December, 5th, 2021. She was born on April 4th, 1951, in Seattle Washington, to John and Gloria Carranza.
Margo was a resident of Lodi from the age of 18 and worked as a bookkeeper, for Paul Gomez. She was also a manager, for Cocina Cuevas, the chef, for Pancho Villas, and a homemaker.
Margo had a fun-loving spirit and was always happy. She was glamorous and couldn’t leave the house without her hair and makeup done to perfection. She loved being in the kitchen and spending time with family. She enjoyed listening to rock music, crafting, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, dancing, and going to the movies for Lodi’s best popcorn. Her smile was contagious, her laugh was heartwarming, and her presence was cherished by all. Margo was extremely grateful and appreciated every person and moment. She never took anything for granted and her kindness was beyond measure. Her life was a blessing and her memory will be treasured forever.
Margo will be lovingly remembered by her life partner of 49 years, Joe Gomez Sr.; her son, Tony Rivera; her daughter, Vanessa Gomez; her grandchildren, Tony, Anicia, Jaclyn, Sirena, Raymond, Richard, Sammy, Isaac, Joseph, and Nevaeh; her many great-grandchildren; her sisters, Marla and Marquita; her brother, Mark; her best friends, Yvonne Vallejo, Alice Aguila and Bertha Ramos.
She is predeceased by her loving parents, John and Gloria Carranza; her brother, Marty Carranza; her daughter, Melissa Ruiz; her son, Joey Gomez.
