Obituary of Darlene Joan Culbertson

Darlene Joan Culbertson went to her heavenly home on April 24, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born in French Camp, CA to Carlos and Lila Kalberg. Her family later moved back to MN where she grew up. She attended Kasson High School graduating in 1950. She was a cheerleader and also a majorette for the band. 

When she moved back to CA she worked as a telephone operator at Pacific Bell before helping her husband, Robert, start their family business, Allied Machine & Welding. She was an active member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church. She loved to do many different arts and crafts, spending time with family and friends, and was always willing to help someone in need. She was a very caring person and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Lila Kalberg; her husband, Robert Culbertson; her sister and brother-in-law, Eddie and Charline Wisner; and her two daughters, Victoria Culbertson and Roberta Clark. She is survived by her grandchildren, Clint Sheffield and Jennalie (Mark) Morgan; niece, Gayle (Jim) Peery; nephew, Gary (Michelle) Wisner; great grandchildren, Alexander and Cooper; and many  more nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. 

A celebration of life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 4th at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1540 W. Lodi Avenue. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Emanuel Lutheran Church or a charity of your choosing.
