Obituary of Siham Ayat

With much faith and love, we regret to inform you of the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Siham Ayat, age 69, who passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Siham was born April 25, 1953 in Homs, Syria to parents Mounira and Elias Tahan. She was the eldest of four children. She had 3 brothers, Ghassan, George and Issam.

Siham spent her early life in Homs, where she met and married the love of her life, George Ayat on April 20, 1978. She had two children, Fadi and Fida and supported her family as a homemaker and wife. Siham and George moved their family to Los Angeles in 1986, and then moved to Stockton in 1989.

Siham was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to everyone that knew her. Her entire life was dedicated to her family, from raising her two children to helping raise her two granddaughters, Scarlett and Juliet. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved them with all her heart. As a mother, Siham was loving, generous, and kind. She always put in extra effort for everyone she loved and was thrilled to have her granddaughters around so she could stuff them with fruits, vegetables, and snacks constantly. Siham was a wonderful cook and a great dancer. In their younger years, Siham and George loved going to events and dancing together, often winning dance competitions. She loved Arabic music and Syrian soap operas. She also had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing to her grandchildren for the ten years she had with them.

Siham will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her  three brothers, her husband George, son Fadi, daughter Fida, and granddaughters Scarlett and Juliet.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Siham on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Ayat residence in Stockton, California.

A second Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on July 9th 2022at the Jesus Sacred Heart Church Syriac Catholic Rite 10837 Collins St, North Hollywood, CA 91601
