Obituary of Mikel Len Delacour

Please share a memory of Mikel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our family patriarch. Mikel Len Delacour passed away on Monday July 11 th , after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mikel was born on October 18, 1953, to Fred and Joella Delacour. He was a Painter by trade for over 30 years with Winchester Painting.

Mikel loved playing cards, horseshoes, and pool. He was an avid outdoorsman, his favorite thing in the world was going fishing, especially with his sons. Just a few weeks before his passing, while on a fishing trip with his son, Mikel caught his biggest striper (20pds). Mikel loved to go camping and always looked forward to the annual Pinecrest camping trip with his son, daughter-in-law, and friends.

Mikel was a stranger to no one and a friend to all. He always had something nice to say, always willing to give a helping hand. He loved his family more than anything. He treated his wife Paula like a queen. He loved his boys unconditionally. He was the best grandpa/great grandpa; he had a special relationship with each one of his grandkids. He truly was one of a kind and is going to be deeply missed.

Mikel is preceded in death by his parents, wife Paula, sister Diane, niece Chelsea and nephew Larry. He is now also reunited with his best buddies, Robert Garcia, Archie Sanders, and Robert (Red Bob) Ruonavaara.

He leaves behind his sons, Mikel (Laura) Delacour; Brandon Ellsbury and Mark Crawford. His brother, Larry Delacour. Sister-in-laws, Bonnie Ellsbury and Traci Boatsman, brothers-in-law, Tim Ellsbury and Robert Gragg. Grandchildren, Mylynn (Justin), Kyle, Aubrey (John), Taija, Camon, Zack, Ray, Nathan, Levi, and Lacey. Great grandson, Bentley. Nieces, Jody, Diana, and Blair; nephews, Steven (Kat), Chris (Tina), and Ryan (Dana). As well as numerous extended family and friends.
