Obituary of Michael Lawrence Hughes

Michael L. Hughes, 55, of Lodi, died November 29th in Stockton. He was born September 13, 1948, in Sacramento. Mr. Hughes moved to Lodi with his parents when he was 3 years old. He graduated from Lodi High School in 1966. He attended Delta College for two years and then University of California at Berkeley, graduating with a bachelor's degree in history. He lived in the Bay Area for 22 years, returning to Lodi in 1991. He was the manager of USA Petroleum in Lodi. He was a member of the Century Assembly Church in Lodi. He was an expert in the study of ants, known as Zanti Agent on the Ant Board Web site. He enjoyed fantasy football and computers. He is survived by his brother, Patrick Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Marie Hughes. There will be a graveside service at 1:00 pm Friday at Cherokee Memorial Park, with Pastor R. Dale Edwards of Century Assembly officiating.. Committal will follow the service. Visitation will be held 1 to 8 pm Wednesday, and 8 am to 8 pm Thursday.
