Karen Louise Schumaker Dittemore Seibly was born on December 24, 1949 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. She passed away November 11, 2003 in Angwin, California at the age of 53. Karen moved to Lodi with her family in 1956 where she attended the Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School, in 1962 the family moved to Sacramento, Karen attended Sacramento Union Academy until her graduation in 1967, she then attended La Sierra College where she took Nursing courses, and then transferred to Heald Business College in Sacramento. In 1967 she married Melvin Dittemore and the couple resided in Sacramento. In 1974 Karen moved to San Juan Bautista and Hollister where she worked in the medical field for many years. In 1976 she married Malcolm Seibly and the couple lived and worked in the Hollister area until 1991 when they moved to Atascadero. In 1996 the couple moved to the Napa Valley first to St. Helena and then to Angwin where they settled. Karen earned her Massage Therapist License in 1988 and enjoyed working in this field for many years. Karen loved indoor gardening, animals, and local travel, but her true joy was her family and raising her two daughters. She is survived by her husband; Malcom Seibly of Angwin, daughters; Kristina Lowe and her husband Perry, and Alisenne Seibly both of the Dallas, Tx., Mother and Step-father; Elvina Schumaker Spaulding and Luther Spaulding of Santa Rosa, sisters; Marlene Carr and her husband Scotty of Santa Rosa, and Audrey Williams of Redondo Beach, Brothers; Don Schumaker and his wife Dorothy of Gardnerville, Nv., and Garfield Schumaker of Redondo Beach, step-sister; Jan Simmons and her husband Joe of Sacramento, aunts; Alberta Hein Ballard and Lucille Plumb both of Sacramento, 4 nieces; 6 grand-nephews and 7 grand-nieces. Friends may visit Friday from Noon until 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and invited to attend Funeral Services on Sunday, 12 Noon at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave, Lodi, with interment at Cherokee Memorial Park immediately following. Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
