Christopher George Spanos, age 27 years, born in Lodi, California on February 2, 1976, passed away on October 14, 2003 of injuries sustained in an auto accident near Tracy, California. Chris lived in Lodi all his life, attending Vinewood Elementary, Senior Elementary, graduating from Lodi High School in 1995. He also attended Delta College in Stockton, Consumnes River College in Sacramento and College of the Redwoods in Eureka, California. Chris loved hunting in Terry, Montana, shooting, riding motocycles, driving his tractor in the vineyards, going on trips to Santa Cruz, and hiking in the forest. He also loved animals, especially his black cat, Esther, given to him by his Uncle George and Aunt Linda Spanos. He was a member of St. Basil's Greek Orthodox Church in Stockton, also the National Rifle Association, Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever. Chris worked at Lakewood Drugs, first as a delivery person, then for 10 years as a pharmacy technician and for 6 years as a grape farmer. Chris is the son of Nick and Delores Spanos of Lodi and brother to Nick Spanos, III, of Carmichael, California. Chris is survived by his parents, Nick an Delores Spanos and his brother and fiancee, Nick and Mika Kuehnl. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, George and Linda Spanos of Lockeford, Junior and Betty Edwaards of Galt, Jim and Billie Holmes of Clear Lake, David and Betty Butress of Tracy, Janice Roe of Lodi, and Lucy Butress of Oklahoma; also, godmother, Vossie Manolakakais, as well as lots of cousins and many wonderful friends. Rev. Father Michael Pappas of St. Basil's Greek Orthodox Church will officiate the Trisagion on Sunday at 7 pm as well as the service on Monday.
