MARJORIE REGINA ROBERTS Marjorie Regina Roberts, 83, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2003, at a nursing care center in Auburn, California, following a long illness. A native of Randolph, Nebraska, she was born Marjorie Regina Blotz on November 12, 1919. Marjorie was raised in Randolph, where she attended local schools. On February 15, 1939, she married Harold "Hal" L. Roberts. A year later, in 1940, they moved to Portland, Oregon, where they resided for several years. They relocated to Coquille, Oregon where they owned and operated a music store. In 1960, the couple came to California and settled in Lodi. Marjorie was employed as an admitting supervisor at Lodi Memorial Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1985. In 1997, she moved to Auburn, CA to be near her son and his family. She was a former member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and St. Anne's Outreach Club. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Marjorie is survived by her son, Richard "Dick" Roberts of Auburn, and his wife Karen; five grandchildren: Cindy Method, Craig Roberts, Jennifer Briggs, Timothy Roberts and Matthew Roberts; and two great-grandchildren: Jessica and Tori Method. Also survived by two brothers: Jack Blotz of Oroville, CA and Donald Blotz of Byron, CA; and one sister: Fern Meier of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Hal" Roberts; her son, Wayne Roberts; her parents; Frank Blotz and Maude Cole; two sisters; Frances Lee and Elizabeth O'Neil; and three brothers; Dale, Eugene and Harold Blotz. Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Committal Service at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at Lodi Memorial Cemetery, 5150 E. Pine Street in Lodi. There will be no visitations. A virtual register book can be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Lodi Unit, 207 E. Alpine Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204. Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
