Obituary of Dale Edward McGinty

Dale Edward McGinty, 65, of Lodi, died on May 24, 2003, at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born on September 23, 1937 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Mr. McGinty enlisted and served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. He married Donna Alice Voegele on February 6, 1959 in Reno, Nevada, and lived in the Bay Area, Stockton and then Lodi, where he resided for 35 years. He was a retired grocery retail clerk and had last worked at SaveMart in Stockton. He was member of the Lodi Moos Lodge and enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and playing computer games. He is survived by his wife, Donna A. McGinty of Lodi; daughters, Patricia M. Loebs and Sharon Ann Laws of Lodi, and Pamela E. Rodriguez of Stockton; brother, Byron McGunty of Holt Summit, Missouri; sisters, Sandy Holtmeyer of Evansdale, Iowa, and Margie Smith of Jefferson City, Missouri; and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jesu Velichore of St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating. Graveside Committal with military honors follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Lodi Fuenral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lodi Unit, 207 E. Alpine Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204. Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
