Bertha Huber, 90, of Arlee, Montana, and formerly of Lodi, died after a lengthy illness in a hospital in Ronan, Montana. She was born Bertha Bohnet on June 24, 1912 in Elgin, North Dakota. Mrs. Huber attended school until the 8th grade, when she had to quit school to help on the family farm. She lived in Lodi for several decades and worked at various canneries in the Stockton and Lodi areas. She was member of the Fairmont Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Lodi. She was caregiver for most of her life and also enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling and hosting her four nieces and three nephews at her home. Mrs. Huber is survived by three nephews; Curtis Bierwagen of Helena, Montana, Donald Bohnet of Hebron, North Dakota, and Robert Bohnet of New Leipzig, North Dakota; and four nieces; Violet Kuntz of Hebron, North Dakota, Lila McGee of Snohomish, Washington, Medora Towe of Florence, Montana, and Wyona Malatare of Arlee, Montana. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 30, at Cherokee Memorial Park with Pastor Ralph Watts III of Fairmont Seventh-Day Adventist Church officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor's choice. Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
