Raymond Allmendinger, 77, of Lodi, entered into rest on May 17, 2003 at at local hospital. Born in Golden Valley, North Dakota, Mr. Allmendinger was resident of Lodi for 45 years. He was born and raised on his family's farm in Golden Valley, ND, where he met Elsie B. Entzel, and they were married on October 27, 1946. Mr. Allmendinger was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran. Raymond was a retired custodian, after 11 years of service at Morada Middle School. Prior to working at the school, he worked at Pizza Garden in Lodi for 21 years. He enjoyed western shows, collecting horses, playing card games and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to call for visitation on Monday, May 19, 2003 from 3 PM to 8 PM and on Tuesday, May 20 from 8 AM to 9 PM at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Avenue, Lodi, CA. A Graveside Committal Service with military honors will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at Cherokee Memorial Park, Harney Lane at HWY 99 in Lodi. Following the committal service, everyone is invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 21, at Bethel Open Bible Church, 760 S. Ham Lane in Lodi, with Pastor James Pluimer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to: Bethel Open Bible Church Missionary Fund, 760 S. Ham Lane, Lodi, CA 95240.
