Obituary of Shelly Lynn Beck

On April 13, Shelly Lynn (Cox) Beck passed peacefully at the age of 59 surrounded by loved ones. Shelly was born in Stockton October 20, 1964, and was a lifelong Lodi resident. Shelly was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nana. Known for her vivacious personality and making people around her comfortable and laughing, Shelly made friends everywhere she went and loved them all her life. Her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32- “And be kind and compassionate to one another, just as God forgave you in Christ.” was how she lived her life. She spent most of her life taking amazing care of her son, Joseph (Bubba), who preceded her last year and now has welcomed her into Heaven. To say Shelly loved her family is an understatement. She defined her life with the care and love for all around her.

Shelly is survived by her partner, Johnandy Carper; children, Cameron Beck (Rayanna), Bailey and Brittney Carper; parents, Jim and Amelia Cox, brothers, Boni and Sean, (Catina) Deleon, Charlie Cox (Liz); friend Lisa Ksiazek, and numerous nieces, nephews and especially her grandchildren, who she loved dearly and were the light of her life.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 24th, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 pm at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., in Lodi. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday April 25th at 10:00 am at St. Annes Catholic Church , 215 W. Walnut St., in Lodi, with interment to follow at Lodi Memorial Park and Cemetery, 5750 E. Pine St., in Lodi. Shelly will be laid to rest next to her son Bubba. A reception for family and friends will follow.
