Obituary of Saundra Riggins

Saundra "Ann" Riggins Entered into rest, May 12, 2003, at her residence in Lodi. A native of Dallas, Texas, aged 64 years, Mrs. Riggins was born Saundra Ann Wylie on March 9, 1939, the only child of A.W. Wylie and Ouilda Collins, both native of Oklahoma. Ann grew up in the oil town of Borger, Texas, where she attended local schools and was a graduate of Borger High School. On October 15, 1957, she was married to Larry Wilson Riggins in Philips, Texas. Ann was well known by all of her neighborhood's children as "Mamaw". She was a remarkable person; loved and cherished by all who knew her. She was very kind and hospitable to all. As a homemaker, she very skilled in all aspects of domestic life. She was particularly fond of her 15-years-old granddaughter, Shannon Riggins. Ann led a simple life, the highlight of which was caring for her beloved husband of 45 and half years, her two sons and her granddaughter. Ann is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Wilson Riggins of Lodi; 2 sons, Stephen Craig Riggins of Carson City, Nevada, and Kevin Scott Riggins of Livermore, California; and her dearest granddaughter, Shannon Riggins of Lodi, California. Friends are invited to visit at Lodi Funeral Home, 725. S. Fairmont Avenue in Lodi on Thursday, May 15th from 3 PM to 8PM; and on Friday, May 16th from 8 AM to 8 PM. The Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, May 17th at 11:00 AM at Lodi Funeral. Pastor Jimmy McClelland of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church of Lodi, officiating. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to New Hope Free Will Baptist Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 418, Lodi, CA 95240-0418 are preferred.
