Lodi to pay tribute to victims of 9/11 attacks

On the 16th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, the Lodi Funeral Home will host the Never Forget Tribute at 6 p.m. on Monday. Beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, 3,000 flags will be placed around the funeral home by Tokay High School athletes, Boy, Girl and Cub Scouts and American Legion Post 22, according to Community Outreach Coordinator Esther Jimenez. READ MORE

Fifteen years ago, tragedy struck the nation on September 11. Four large U.S. passenger airplanes were hijacked by members of the terrorist group al-Qaeda. Tokay Stitch and Quilt Guild sews bedding for foster youths

For several months, the Tokay Stitch N Quilt Guild of Lodi has been working on a community project to show support to local youth that are currently in foster care. Tokay Guild members gathered once each month to work on over 50 handmade pillow cases and a number of handmade quilts as part of the "Casa Project."
