Obituary of Laurie Anne Marroquin

Laurie Anne Marroquin 46 years, passed away after a sudden illness Monday, March 1, 2021. Laurie was the love of our lives. She was a person with a big and kind heart. Laurie was taken away from us too soon. As we stand today with heavy hearts, we know she will be greatly missed. Laurie was born in Lodi, California on July 7, 1974 to Ramon and Diane Marroquin. Laurie graduated from Lodi High School and California State University Stanislaus (CSUS). She lived in Turlock and worked as an Accountant Technician II at CSUS. During her younger years, Laurie played soccer and softball. She was a founding mother and currently was an advisor for PHI LAMBDA RHO Sorority. She enjoyed reading, crafting, traveling to various places on vacation, and just hanging out with friends and family. Laurie is survived by her parents, Ramon and Diane; sister, Lisa Marroquin (Paul Montana), and niece, Abigail Montana; Aunts and Uncles, Marlene (Luis) Oliveres, Alice Castellanos, Consuelo (Rafael) Onate, Jose (Marie) Marroquin, Ramiro Marroquin, Ana (Luis) Garcia, Severa (Andy) Salazar, Pilar (Marie) Marroquin, Victor (Olympia) Marroquin, Humberto Marroquin, Linda Salazar, Sara (Kelly) White; and numerous cousins. Laurie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Frank and Lupe Castellanos, paternal grandparents Pilar and Flora Marroquin, and her Aunt Margaret Ornelas. A viewing is scheduled on Thursday March 11, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lodi Funeral Home, 725 South Fairmont Ave., Lodi. A Mass will be celebrated Friday March 12, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 215 West Walnut Street, Lodi. Immediately following the Mass, committal will be at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 at Harney Lane - 14165 Beckman Road, Lodi. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, we will not be able to have a reception at this time.
