Angela Frances Melas “Angie” 90 of Lodi, Ca. passed away peacefully on March 27th after a brief illness. She was born on February 7th, 1931 in Eureka CA, to the Parents of Ella and Mike Dados, where he worked on ferry boats, carpenter, and invested in stock market. After the “Crash” in 1931-1932, they lost almost everything. Four years after the stock market crash, her father invested in the “Armor Corporation” the stock grew and when Ella (Mom) found out she gave him an ultimatum, “no more gambling”! In 1937 he sold his stocks for an even trade for a 50 acre vineyard in Lodi CA. Here she grew up, lived, and would always be a sanctuary and home for her. She graduated from Lodi High School in 1949, she went to work for Guild Winery and helped with the family vineyard. She married James Alexander Tsarnas Sr, in 1954 and had three sons, Alexander, Mike, James Jr. she divorced in 1962. Angie re-married Emmanuel Nicholas Melas in 1964 and moved to Daly City CA. In 1965 she gave birth to Nicholas Emmanuel Melas and raised four boys. She returned to the workforce in the early 1970’s, in the banking industry where she spent 25 years making life long friends among co-workers and customers. Upon her retirement Angie moved back to Lodi, where she and her son “Mike” managed the family vineyard. Her oldest son Alexander from Ukiah CA, also retired and moved to Lodi soon after the family invested in a restaurant, bar, banquet facility. Alex was the bartender and Mom was the server for the lunch crowd. Here is where Alex & Mom re-connected and worked and enjoyed serving our guests and friends. She finally re-retired and moved into SOLSTICE of Lodi CA. Angie was an avid reader, card player (rummy/poker) she loved cooking and sharing food with family and friends.
