Obituary of Linda Marie Rulo

On Thursday, August 19, 2021, Linda Marie Rulo, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior. Linda was born on June 19, 1948 in Stockton, Ca, to Ernest and Helen (Gisler) Bassi. She grew up in Stockton, Ca, and graduated from Stockton’s Franklin High School in 1966. She worked at Sharps Army Depot for over 20 years until her retirement in 2005. She was a lifelong resident of the Stockton area. She gave all of her heart to raising her only daughter, Nina (Ward). She was a strong, giving and loving mother and was her daughter’s best friend. On July 26, 1992 she married Wayne Rulo and became step mother to Jodi, Jacki and Jami. Linda and Wayne were happily married for 29 years. They were the perfect balance for each other and loved one another deeply. Linda loved shopping at thrift stores and had a gift for seeing usefulness and beauty in things. She also had an eye for creating and decorating. She shared the love for these two things and helped many friends and strangers alike turn their houses into welcoming, warm homes. Linda lovingly volunteered helping the homeless. She was thoughtful of others, helped without wanting anything in return and gave selflessly. Linda made people feel important and loved. Her biggest passion was her grandchildren Macie, Jack, Mason, Merick, Daniel, Victoria, Riley, Autumn and especially Micah, and her great-grandchildren Jemma and Judah. She attended their games, hosted birthday parties, was their biggest fan, supported their goals and loved them deeply. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Ernest, her mother, Helen and her sister Francis Hensley. She is survived by her daughter Nina (Robert) Ward of Lockeford, Ca; her husband Wayne of Stockton, Ca and his three children, Jodi (Daryl) Dalrymple of Pleasanton, Ca, Jami Rulo-Baron of Littleton, Co and Jacki Rulo of Eureka, Ca; her brother Louie Bassi of Manteca, her sisters Erma Bassi Smith of Morrilton, Arkansas, and Joanne Cisneros of California, grandchildren Macie (Jack) Holmlund of Lodi, Ca, Mason Ward of Lodi, Ca, Merrick Ward and Micah Ward of Lockeford, Ca, Daniel Rulo, Victoria Rulo, Riley Rulo and Autumn Baron; great-grandchildren Jemma and Judah Holmlund of Lodi, Ca, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021, 11 am at LifeSong Church 3034 Michigan Ave, Stockton, Ca 95204.
