Obituary of Larry Dean Evilsizer

Larry Dean Evilsizer, 79, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 in Sacramento, California. Larry was born in Lamar, Missouri to Beulah and Ed Evilsizer. He spent most of his early years in Lamar, Missouri and Parsons, Kansas, until the family moved to Aurora, Colorado in 1954. After high school, Larry joined the Air Force. In the early 70s Larry moved to Lodi, California and then to the Napa Valley to work in the wine industry. Wine was his passion. At the age of 55 he went back to school for his degree in Oenology. Degree in hand, he worked one year on the central coast before moving to Lodi as a winemaker at Woodbridge Winery. Larry and his wife Linda resided in Lodi, California in recent years as willing servants of four beautiful cats. Larry is survived by his wife Linda Doggett Evilsizer, son Chance Evilsizer, daughter Heather Hasbrouck, grandchildren Coty Evilsizer, Dalton and Levi Hasbrouck, Carissa Franco, great granddaughter Maia Joy, age 2, sister Cynthia Bruemmer and her husband Jim, 14 nieces and nephews, and cousins. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Beulah Evilsizer and brothers Jimmy, Chester, and Robert Evilsizer; also his sisters Rose Ann Evilsizer, Frances Sue Walters, Mary Kathryn Pearce, and Evelyn Merchant. Larry was a beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend, and Neighbor. He was an Adventurer, Winemaker, and Charmer. An Excellent Cat Dad. Connoisseur of fine wine and food. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
