Lorraine (Lee) was born to Louis A Berce and Marie Kattnig Berce in West Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 27th, 1930. She attended Holy Angels High School, graduating in 1949, and earned a Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology from Marquette University in 1953. For her academic excellence and extracurricular involvement, she was honored by membership in Gamma Phi Epsilon, the Jesuit Honor Society.She moved to Colorado where she worked at Denver General Hospital, and then to California. In 1956 she met and married Charles William Raynor. They had 5 children. Along with raising her family, she worked as a medical technologist for several years and retired from the Peninsula Memorial Blood Bank after 26 years, with a Specialist in Blood Banking License.
After her retirement she and husband Charles (Bud) operated Rancho San Gregorio, a coastal Bed & Breakfast Inn. They sold the inn in 1999 and moved to a small farm in Clements. Her current activities included gardening, camping, travel, and church ministries. She and her husband were 4H leaders for many years and served on the scholarship board in San Mateo county. She was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, and Lockeford Book Club.
