Fred Frank Souhrada, 93 of Stockton, CA was called home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

Fred was born at home in Tabor, SD on July 2, 1928 to George and Josephine (Suderla) Souhrada.

Growing up on the family farm in Tabor, SD, Fred loved to share stories about farming and his great childhood memories. As a young man, Fred joined the Navy and proudly served his Country on the USS Essex for four years until he was honorably discharged on 11/17/1954. Fred married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Lockerbie on 4/23/1955. Fred and Pat recently celebrated their 67th Anniversary. Retired from Pacific Fiberboard as a Millwright. Fred was the best Husband, Father, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Friend. He loved serving the Lord and his Church Family was so important to him. For years Fred maintained the Church lawns and shared his talent as a great mechanic working on vehicles for widows and others within the Church. He had his own gardening service, mowing over 30 lawns each week. Very proud of the orange tree he planted over 55 years ago that produces 1,000 oranges each year. Fred loved teaching and speaking Czech, German, Spanish to his family and friends. His grandchildren will always remember his famous train whistle. Fred’s smile was contagious, constantly tell jokes just to see others smile along with him.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, George and Josephine Souhrada; Brother, George Souhrada, Sister-in-Law, Helen; Sister-in-Law, Mary; Brother-in-Law Al Lubbers.

His memory will be cherished forever by his wife Patricia Souhrada of Stockton, CA, his three daughters Debbie Spangler (Dave), Cindy Hansen (Mike), Eileen Smith (Bob) and son David Souhrada. Brother; Larry Souhrada (Sara); a sister, Mildred Lubbers. Six grandchildren: Aaron Smith (Jay), Eric Smith, Ashley Delorto (Jordan), Michael Hansen (Debi), Laura Stowasser (Jeff), Brittany Souhrada. Six great-grandchildren: Ayla, Noah, Evelyn, Jude, Cole, Amara. Multiple Nephews and Nieces. Fred had an incredible love for his family and he will be greatly missed.

Auf Wiedersehen, a German phrase so often used by Fred, until we meet again.
