Obituary of George Harland Stanley

George Harland “Harley” Stanley, age 73, of Lodi, passed away January 27, 2023.
Born September 15, 1949, Harley was the first born to George and Alyce Stanley. As a toddler,
he was stricken with Polio. He learned at an early age to be strong and love every day of life.
Harley was always willing to give or help his friends and family. He spent his adult live being
known the local community for being a bearing expert King Bearing and later at Motion
Industries. He retired and spent a great deal of time between his love for the water on his boat
and with his extended family at the Stadium. Harley battled the past year to get strong enough
to enjoy life and his friends. In the end, his body failed, and he passed of natural causes.
Harley was preceded in death by his only child, Daniel Stanley, and parents, George and Alyce
Stanley. He is survived by two brothers, Kelly Stanley of Knights Ferry, and Matthew (Jennifer)
Stanley of Lodi. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 8 th , 2023, at 2:00 pm with a
grave side burial at Oakdale Citizen’s Cemetery, 701 J Street, Oakdale. Visitation will be held
Wednesday morning from 9:30 am – noon at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 South Fairmont Avenue,
Lodi. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or one of
your choices in his honor.
