Obituary of Ronald Ray Byes

Ronald Ray Byes, 77 of Lodi CA, passed away June 4, 2023. Funeral services will be held at Faith
Community Church, 18621 CA-99 in Acampo on Saturday June 10. Viewing will be at the church from
9:00-10:00, Celebration of Life will begin at 10am. Immediately following the service, graveside burial
will be held at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson CA.
Ron was born in 1945 in Broken Bow, OK. He moved to CA in 1946 with his parents and graduated from
Ione High School class of 1965. He proudly served his country from 1974-1977, spending 1 year in Korea.
In the military he received the National Defense Services, Marksman (M16 Rifle) and Armed Forces
Expeditionary Medals. Ron retired from Holt of California after 34 years, and then worked for the City of
Lodi Transit system for 8 years.
Ron enjoyed playing cards, camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a
devoted Christian and love the Lord.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda of 30 years and six children; Becki and Chris Bish, Daniel Byes,
Patrick Byes, Bryan and Stephanie Kaiser, Brenda Tapp, and Michelle and Paul Martinez. Ron has eight
grandchildren Payten, Ryan, Nolan, Allyson, Beatrice, Lola, Roman and Remi.
