Obituary of Timothy Wayne Dean

Timothy Wayne Dean of Lodi, California passed on Sunday, September 24, 2023.  Tim was born in Antioch, California March 16, 1945 to Elvia and Opal Dean. He attended Lodi High School and in 1963 met his future wife of 48 years, Linda.  Tim and Linda had two daughters, Lori and Shelby. As a young man, Tim worked as a barber before becoming a San Joaquin County Deputy Sherrif, serving 17 years until his retirement in 1988.  Post retirement, Tim founded Dean and Dean Investigations, performing private investigation services primarily in the realm of workers compensation investigations. Throughout their life together, Tim and Linda enjoyed being out on the California Delta boating, fishing, and making lifelong friends.  They loved providing fun adventures for their children and grandchildren, especially during the family Fourth of July boat trips every year.  Tim also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and four wheeling in the dunes, as well as rolling dice with friends at local water holes.  After Linda’s death, Tim had the blessing of spending time with his wonderful girlfriend, Elizabeth Weber, whom brought him love, joy and companionship for six years. 

Tim was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Lynne Dean, his brother, Mack Dean, parents Elvia and Opal Dean, and his wife Linda Lou Dean (Dockter).  He is survived by his sister, Carol Blais; brother, Richard Dean (Patti); daughter, Shelby Dean Schmidt (Brian); his grandchildren, Lori Watts (Andrew) and Cooper Scheideman; his great-grandchildren, Nova and Iris Watts, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Tim was beloved by many and will be missed by all. A memorial service is being held at Lodi Funeral Home, Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.  Lodi Funeral Home is located at 725 S. Fairmont Street in Lodi.
