Obituary of Daniel Lester Heller

Daniel Lester Heller passed away Monday, October 9th at the age of 79, following a brief illness. He was born November 27, 1943 in Fredonia, North Dakota to parents, Fred and Ida Heller and has been a resident of San Joaquin County most of his life. He married Claudia Marie Crossan on January 16, 1971 at the Ebenezer Congregational Church in Lodi and they shared 13 years together, until her passing in 1984. 

 

Daniel worked as a printer for the Lodi News Sentinel for 43 years, retiring in 2007. In his free time, he enjoyed going on vacations along the coast, particularly in Santa Cruz, Capitola, and Aptos, and trips to Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Disneyland. 

 

Daniel was preceded in death by his loving wife, Claudia Heller, his brothers, Lawrence and Ray Heller, and sister, Shirley Simpson. He is survived by his son, Shawn Heller, his brother, Charles Heller, and sister, Lenora McKaughan.

 

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 14th at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Ln, in Lodi.
