Obituary of Lynda Stutz

Lynda Stutz, 79, a lifelong resident of Lodi, CA passed away on October 15th, 2023 after an earnest battle with health challenges. Lynda was born in Lodi, CA on January 31, 1944 to Elma and Harry Squire. She often shared fond memories of spending time in Santa Cruz and enjoying family gatherings they would host during her childhood. She was a graduate of Lodi Union High School, class of 1960. After earning her AA degree at San Joaquin Delta College, she worked for San Joaquin county where she issued marriage licenses. Shortly afterwards, she began a career within the helping professions serving adolescents and young adults/ the community as a paraeducator for 25 years where she was able to engage in her passion for serving others.

Lynda was born with a heart of gold that never faded. She stopped at nothing to ensure everyone she knew and loved was happy, demonstrating this throughout her life by doing everything she could to make life easier for those she loved. Due to her humble nature, most would be surprised to know that Lynda’s talents were many. She was a skillful seamstress, a painter, an incredible family historian and storyteller, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and faithful Christian who dedicated much of her time to revisiting meaningful areas of the town she always called home. She found joy in retirement attending craft fairs, perfecting her game of digital solitaire, browsing real estate, and perusing estate sales.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Elma Squire, brother Richard Squire, and husband of 49 years, Siegfried Stutz. She is survived by her two children, daughter, Kimberlee Stutz-Knowles; son, Timothy Stutz; granddaughter; Geneva Jaynes and her husband, Garret; her sister, Diana Vanvekoven; and her great grandson, Sullivan Jaynes.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October, 25, 2023 starting at 11AM at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S Fairmont Avenue, Lodi, CA 95240. Burial will be held at Lodi Memorial Park and Cemetery, 5750 E Pine Street, Lodi, CA 95240.
