Obituary of Eryn Jennifer Greenfield

Eryn Greenfield was born on October 15, 1964  in Riverside CA to her parents Diane Roberts and James M. Greenfield .  Eryn passed away January 4, 2024.

Eryn attended elementary and junior high school in San Gabriel and high school in Irvine.  She became a CHP officer in 1991 .  In her last several years working for the CHP she achieved her goal of becoming part of the mounted CHP unit.  Following her heroic battle and survival of breast cancer she retired in 2014 .

Eryn was a loving daughter, sister and friend.  She was always willing to help anyone that asked and was the person many of us came to when we needed someone to listen and provide words of comfort and wisdom. She provided unwavering love and support for her friends and family. 

Eryn’s love for horses started when she was a young girl.  Her lifelong dream was to one day have her own horses.  She achieved her dream and lovingly raised and cared for many horses over the years .  She was an accomplished barrel racer and had an amazing group of friends in the horse community that enjoyed many years of riding adventures  and laughter with Eryn - they will miss her dearly .  She loved all of her fur babies and her dogs were always by her side .

Eryn touched many lives and will forever remain in our hearts. 

She is survived by her mother  Diane Roberts, father James M. Greenfield , Step mother Karen Greenfield , sister Janine Benner , niece Amanda Benner and nephew Christopher Benner.

Eryn’s Celebration of Life will be held Friday January 12 , 1:00 pm at Buckaroos Club in Clements CA.
