Obituary of Virginia Rose Rohrbach

On January 4, 2024, Virginia Rose Rohrbach passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the age of 90.  Born March 21, 1933, to Jacob and Lea Burrer of Eureka, South Dakota. Virginia attended school and worked as a teacher’s aid in South Dakota until she met the love of her life Elmer Rohrbach.  They married December 28, 1952, and had 3 children: Jeff, Scott, and Penny.  They owned a bowling alley and bar in Eureka and moved to Lodi in 1961.  Virginia was an Avon representative for many years.  She enjoyed going to church at Zion Lutheran Church.  Virginia was very social and enjoyed her clubs – Lodi’s women club, Widow and Widowers, and the New Comers Club.  She and Elmer enjoyed traveling, cruises, and spending time with family and friends. 

Virginia is survived by a daughter Penny Rohrbach; daughter-in-law Sharon Rohrbach; granddaughters, Lauren (Sean) Poirier, and Jillian Rohrbach; and great-granddaughter Madison Poirier.  She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Rohrbach; sons Jeff and Scott Rohrbach; sisters Mabel (Bernard) Jacob and Velma (Ray) Doerr; and brothers Dellver (Eileen) Burrer, Elmer (Irene) Burrer, and Harry Burrer. 

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17th, at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.  A Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. the same day at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Ln.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Seva Hospice of San Joaquin.
