Obituary of Roger G. Mariani

Roger Joseph Mariani of Stockton California passed away on January 15,
2024 and went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Karen
Mariani. He was born on January 2 nd , 1938 in French Camp to Joe and Eva
Mariani. Roger was 86. He grew up in Stockton and graduated from
Edison High School then attended Stockton College. On May 17 th , 1959 He
married Karen Ruth Kennedy, together they shared 61 years.
He was a custom cabinet maker and owned the ABC Cabinet Shop in
Stockton for 30 plus years. Roger had a heart for the less fortunate and
spent several years donating his time and cooking skills at St Mary’s dining
hall. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and
spending time with his family in the mountains at the family cabin. He also
loved the companionship of his hunting dog Palo.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Karen, his parents Joe and
Eva, and his older brother Jack. He is survived by his younger brother Jerry
(Margaret), Sons Joe (Tami), and Dan (Pam). Grandsons Michael
(Melissa), Anthony and Great Grandson Christopher Mariani.
Services will be held at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave. Lodi, CA
95240 on February 8 th at 10:00am with St. Joachim parish officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary’s Dining Hall 545 W.
Sonora St. Stockton, CA 95203.
