Obituary of Thomas Muru

Thomas "Tom" Muru, age 77 of Stockton, California passed away peacefully at home on February 4, 2024 due to cancer. 

Tom was born in Hamburg, Germany on January 28, 1947 to Hugo Muru and Dagmar Leetsman.  He joined the Air Force in 1967.  On November 6, 1971 he married Mary Downey at the Queen of Apostles.  They have two beautiful daughters Rhonda and Riina.  Tom and Mary were married for 52 years.

Tom loved to host BBQ's or dinners for any holiday or sporting event.  He was the life of the party.  His family and friends were always welcome at any time.  Tom's first true love was hockey.  He played and coached.  His second true love of sports went to football.  He was a huge fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

Tom is survived by his beautiful wife Mary Muru, Daughters Rhonda Martinez (Chris) and Riina Lewis (Kevin), Grandchildren Taylor Lewis, Natalie Martinez, Sydney Lewis, and Nathan Martinez.
