Obituary of Jerry Carl Nessler

Lifelong Stockton resident, Jerry Carl Nessler, passed away Friday, February 16th at the age of 81. He was born February 20, 1942 to parents Fred and Opal Nessler and graduated from Stagg High School in 1959.

Jerry worked as a machinist for 50 years, starting his career at Super Mold in Lodi, and retiring as a shop supervisor for Carando Machine Works in Stockton. He was a part of the Machinists Local 2182. Jerry was also President and served on the San Joaquin Valley Machine Trade JAC Council for over 30 years. Jerry was an active member of the Franklin Syndicate Car Club, being proud to drive his ‘37 sedan and ‘32 Ford Roadster. He enjoyed golfing, watching racing and sports, but loved spending time with his grandchildren most of all. He will be truly missed. 

Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Darren Nessler, and granddaughter, Krystle Ponce. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Nessler; their son, Brandon Nessler; grandchildren, Brandon W. Nessler, Haylee Nessler, Kameron Lawson, and Katelyn Lawson; 5 great-grandchildren; his sister, Linda Robson (Robert), and many more dear family and friends. 

Committal services will be held privately at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery in Stockton. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
