Galt resident, Jose “Oso” Jesus Marquez Barajas passed away at home on Thursday, March 14th with family by his side. He was born January 1, 1988 to parents Pedro Pascual Jr. and Guadalupe Barajas in Guanajuato, Mexico. He has been a resident of Sacramento County for 25 years, and worked various roles in construction for 10 years.

Jose enjoyed spending time with friends and family, caring for his roosters, and watching football and his favorite team, the Raiders. He is survived by his children, Isaac and Isabel Marquez; his parents, Pedro Pascual Jr. and Lupe Barajas; long time companion, Viviana Cuellar; siblings, Maria Marquez (Benito Ocampo), Alfonso Barajas (Breana Barajas); Kayla Pascual (Timothy Hagen), Pedro Pascual III, Diego Pascual, and Samuel Pascual; the mother of his children, Alejandra Paredes and many more beloved family and friends.
