Obituary of Virginia Kuntz

Please share a memory of Virginia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Virginia (Torrisi) Kuntz passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on the morning of April 20, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born on December 23, 1959, Gini touched the lives of those around her with her kindness, strength, and unwavering spirit. Despite facing the recent challenges of her illness, she remained a beacon of strength, hope, and inspiration to all who knew her.

Above all, Gini was a woman filled with the Holy Spirit and a strong faith in God. She was an active parishioner of St. Andrew's Catholic church and a member of a bible study group in which she had many close friends. For several years in a row, she oversaw the silent auction for the "Chicken in a Barrel" event which was always successful due to her loving dedication and effort. She also assisted with preparations for the Joyful Hope Ministry events, and her participation in these prayerful days of reflection during Advent and Lent was always inspiring to others.

Gini led a full life which touched the hearts of countless people through her humor, thoughtfulness, kindness, and compassion. She had a gift for making each person in her life feel special, and her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds whether it was the gift of time, food, or offering advice, encouragement, and support. She always made time for others, provided tender loving care to her livestock and pets, and often enjoyed sharing produce from her endlessly bountiful garden, all of which brought her deep fulfillment.

Her legacy of joy, faith and resilience will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in her journey, and she will forever be remembered for the love, light, and laughter that she routinely brought into the lives of her family, friends and others.

Gini is survived by her loving family, including her two stepchildren Kimberly Ann Martinez and Jeffrey Dean Kuntz II and their spouses, her mother Connie Torrisi, her five siblings Barbara, Gloria, Ann, Fred and Liz, as well as ten nieces and nephews who were each very dear to her. Gini’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her joyful spirit and strength will continue to inspire generations to come.

A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held on July 27 at 10am at St. Andrew’s Church in San Andreas.
