Obituary of Garvin Ivans

Garvin Ivans, age 80, of Lodi, entered the arms of his Lord on May 7, 2011. He was born on August 9, 1930. He was the youngest of four siblings. Mr. Ivans was employed by the State of California Department of Finance for 32 years. He was also active in the Naval Reserves, retiring with the rank of Commander. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Ivans; daughters: Cynthia (Jim) Ussery, Deborah Ivans, and Laurie Ivans; granddaughter: Faryn Ivans; grandson: Nathan (Sarah) Ribordy; and great granddaughter: Lilah Ivans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Birdie Ivans; brothers: Ray Ivans and Carl Ivans; and sister: J. V. Treat. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Committal will take place on Monday, May 23, at 12:30 p.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
