July 25, 1930 - June 13, 2012 Charlie Jessup (Nickname "Bump" as he was affectionately known to his family) passed away after a short illness at Lodi Memorial Hospital on June 13, 2012. Charlie was born on July 25, 1930, in Mohegan Lake, New York to Anna Daley Jessup and Charles H. Jessup. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pat Jessup. Charlie was a passionate fan of college and professional basketball and football, particularly Kansas State, his alma mater, and the San Francisco 49ers. He was also a diehard NASCAR Fan. He looked forward to his morning coffee stops to visit with friends at George's Restaurant or Burger King in Lockeford, CA and trips to the Jackson Rancheria Casino with his wife to play the slot machines. Charlie is survived by his wife, DeeAnne Jessup of Valley Springs; step-sons, Raymond Roberts (Elaine) of Kalispell, MT, Kurt Roberts of Lodi, CA, and Colby Roberts (Tanya) of Galt, CA, as well as two grandchildren, Will Roberts and Sara Roberts of Galt. He is also survived by two brothers, Bill Jessup (Marilyn) of Pleasanton, CA and Jon Jessup (Carmen) of Thomasville, North Carolina. Charlie will be greatly missed by his family and friends who are invited to attend a Memorial Service in his honor on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 South Fairmont Avenue, Lodi, CA 95240. There is no visitation. Private committal will take place at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA.
