Obituary of Helen Jane "Corell" Devine

Helen Jane (Corell) Devine, age 85, of Lodi passed away Friday, April 20, 2007. Helen was born on May 26, 1921 in Lockeford, CA to Harvey and Anna Corell. Helen and her husband, Dalton, raised their family in Lodi. While in Lodi, she was an active member of Omega Nu Sorority, and took great pride in her home and family. In 1964 Helen and Dalton moved to Aptos, CA. While in Aptos, Helen was one of the owners of a women's clothing store, The County Girl. She found much joy in many aspects of the retail business. Helen returned to Lodi in 1989. Our family would like to thank everyone who cared for our mother in the later years of her life. Survivors include her four children, Dean (Sharon) Devine of Lodi, CA, Gayl Devine Larson of Portland, OR, Don (Rebecca) Devine of La Selva Beach, CA and Dave (Jean) Devine of Lodi, CA; brother, Jack Corell of Lodi, CA; sister, Florence "Dolly" Merrill of Salem, OR; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by husband, Dalton Devine; brother, Calvin Corell; sisters, Mildred Lind and Naomi Walters. Services for Helen were private. Memorial remembrances may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204-1953 or charity of choice.
