Obituary of James A. Selle

James A. Selle, Sr. of Lodi passed away on October 18, 2006 in Lodi at the age of 71. Mr. Selle was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan on June 2, 1935 to Angelo and Mary Selle. He married Jeannette Kruse on July 17, 1957 in Aurora, Illinois. He worked as a comptroller-accountant for 45 years before he retired in 2003. He enjoyed camping, boating and sports of all kinds, but most importantly, he loved the time that he spent with his family. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and he will be so dearly missed. Mr. Selle is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jeannette Selle of Lodi; two daughters, Debora Jean (husband, James) Dunbar of Denver, Colorado and Lisa Ann (husband, Kenneth) Kennedy of South Riding, Virginia; son, James Angelo (wife, Yvonne) Selle, Jr., of Yorkville, Illinois; ten grandchildren, Melissa, Courtney, Jenine, Alexander, Kayleigh, Andrew, Justin, Tiffany, Jared and Jacob; sister, June S. Maplesden of Athens, Alabama and brother, Julius Louis (wife, Joan) Selle of Columbia, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Selle. Friends are invited to visit Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Karl Welsbacher of St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating. Committal will be private.
