Esther Hallan Robbins of Lodi passed away in Stockton at the age of 87 on May 13, 2006. Mrs. Robbins was born in Solway, MN to Joseph and Lena Hallan. She moved to California in 1960. She was a primary school teacher for 42 years, working for Stockton Unified School District before she retired. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed needlepoint, baking, cooking and writing. Mrs. Robbins is survived by her sister, Frances Peterson of Bemidji, MN; nephew, David Peterson of Kaukauna, WS; step-daughters, Joanna Parker of Visalia and Judy Kyllonen of Dillsburg, PA; step-son, Nelson Robbins of Churchville, VA; seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Robbins, sister, Mabel Hallan and granddaughter, Kelly. Friends are invited to visit Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until noon at Lodi Funeral Home A graveside service will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Perry Kallis officiating. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial remembrances be made to Franklin Graham?s Samaritan?s Purse.
