Obituary of Bernice Beatrice Kaul

Bernice Kaul, 93, of Lodi, died April 28, 2006 at a local convalescent hospital. A native Lodian, she was born Bernice Beatrice Merrill, June 9, 1912. Mrs. Kaul attended the old Salem School and Lincoln School. She married Rudy Kaul February, 1935. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She worked for Shewan and Jones Winery, California Canners and Growers and Kaul's Nursery. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering and being with family and friends. In her early years she enjoyed dancing and vacationing at Lake Tahoe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Kaul, a son, Norman Kaul, sister, Emily Lehr, brother, Lowell Merrill and her parents, Henry and Emma Merrill, all of Lodi. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Kaul of Lodi, one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home.
