Pauline Mastel, a long-time resident of Lodi passed away in Lodi on April 27, 2006 at the age of 90. Mrs. Mastel was born in Ingmore, Montana to Karl and Paulina Kundert on December 18, 1915. They moved to Lodi in June of 1934. She worked at Gibson?s Retail Store for about four years. She also worked at P.C. P. for over ten years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of the Jim Beam Club and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. Mrs. Mastel is survived by her son, Fred Mastel of Oregon; two daughters, Alyce Mae Caldwell of Texas and Carolyn Peoples of Acampo; ten grandchildren, fourteen great- grandchildren and five great- great-grandchildren; one brother, Emanuel Kundert of Lodi and two sisters, Stella Carroll of San Mateo and Mae Heinitz of Lodi. She was preceded in death by her two sons, LeRoy D. Mastel and Rod Mastel; two brothers, Bert and Rubin Kundert and two sisters, Claudia and Frieda Kundert. Friends are invited to visit on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lodi Unit, 207 East Alpine Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204.
