Obituary of Richard Roy Snavely

Richard Roy Snavely of Clements passed away in Lodi at the age of 66 on April 1, 2006. Mr. Snavely was born in Orange, CA on September 9, 1939 to Elton and Mae Belle Snavely. Mr. Snavely showed on the National Equestrian Show Circuit for over 50 years, earning many world championships. Richard was honored by the L.A. County Fairgrounds for showing 52 years in a row. After traveling for many years, he finally settled in Clements twelve years ago. He was a member of the Friesian Horse Association of North America, U. S. Equestrian Federation, Inc and the U. S. Carriage Association of North America. He enjoyed gardening and antiques. Richard is survived by his brothers, Don (Sandy) Snavely of Palm Desert and Gary (Lynn) Snavely of Buena Park along with numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit at Lodi Funeral Home Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Elsinore Valley Cemetery, 18170 Collier Avenue, Lake Elsinore, CA on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m.
