Ida Reiswig, a long-time resident of Lodi, passed away in Lodi at the age of 94 on April 1, 2006. She was born in Manfred, N.D. on June 21, 1911. She moved to Lodi in 1936. On November 9, 1939, she married Elmer Alton Reiswig in Lodi. She and her husband were in the dairy and beef cattle business, owning Reiswig Dairy and then Westside Dairy. They also farmed many different types of crops. She and her husband retired in 1981. Mrs. Reiswig loved to do things for people. Family and friends were the center of her life. She was a wonderful cook and baker. She also enjoyed crocheting and was a skilled seamstress. She is survived by her beloved husband, Elmer Reiswig of Lodi; children, Elaine (David) Bradshaw of Portland, Oregon; son, Gary Dale (Erika) Reiswig of Bakersfield; brothers, Arthur (Ruth) Fischer of Manfred, N.D., Paul Fischer of Stockton, Leonard (Carlene) Fischer of Lodi; sister, Vicki(James) Denney of Stockton. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alex and Michael Fischer and two sisters, Olinda and Clara Fischer. Friends are invited to visit on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, April 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor Harley Schander of Fairmont Seventh-day Adventist Church. Committal will immediately follow.
