Obituary of Raymond Jerry Lara

Raymond Jerry Lara of Lodi passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at the age of 16. He was born in Sacramento on June 15, 1989 to Albert Lara and Sonya Montoya. He had been a student at Bear Creek High School. He enjoyed being with his friends and family, particularly his cousins, basketball and music. Raymond is survived by his father, Albert Lara of Delano; mother, Sonya Montoya of Sacramento; four siblings, Vanessa, Albert, Jennifer and Valarie Lara, all of Lodi; grandparents, Rosie Montoya of Lodi, Paul Montoya of Riverside, Katie Lara of Sacramento and Jerry Felix of Los Angeles; great-grandmother, Anna Vitela of Sacramento; nephew, Johnny Lara; aunts and uncles, Roseanna Ahr, Paul Montoya, Cindy Ledesma, Juanita Herrera (aunt and godmother), Della Montoya, Joseph Lara, Johnny Lara, Debbie Lara, Veronica Lara, Nickie Flores, Stephaine Lara and Richard Esparza, numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Lara and uncle, Ernie Herrera. A chapel service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Committal is private. Friends are invited to visit Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
